The kids’ programs at Rainbeau Ridge provide a unique experience for kids, age 2 (Roots, Mommy & Me), 3- & 4-year olds (Buds) and K through 3rd grades (Sprouts), to explore and appreciate and make connections to nature through hands-on exploration on the farm, art projects and in the kitchen.
Our Somethin’s Cookin’ program offers 4th-6th graders the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the kitchen while shopping for ingredients in the garden and making the farm-to-table connection for themselves (scroll down for more information).
The programs provide the opportunity for participants to engage in age-appropriate, hands-on activities with animals, natural materials and food and to do fun farm chores. Activities are theme-based, with the day’s learning experience taking multiple forms. Meeting once a week over a multi-week session so that participants can see growth among animals, in the garden and even themselves.
