When water collects in a forest we see a change in soil, vegetation and animal life. Â These unique places are the ‘wet woods’ among our dry, rocky forests. Â Join Tate Bushell, the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s Land Steward, for a casual walk through the Armstrong Preserve as he explores the forest’s wetter areas and speaks intimately about their ecology and hydrology. Â Expect an exciting morning and roughly a mile of light walking. Â All ages are welcome, bring a pair of binoculars if you have them. Â Free.
