Wednesday, July 18th: Nature Awareness Class at the Armstrong House Education Center

Ever wonder what your missing on your daily dog walks?  Join the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy for a one-hour nature awareness class that will put you square in the middle of a bustling ecosystem and give you the tools to fully experience it.  We provide a safe and comfortable environment where you will learn practical sensory skills, to quiet your mind and to ‘tune in’ to your natural environment.  Free.  All are welcome.

Where:  The PRLC’s Armstrong House Education Center, 1361 Old Post Road, Pound Ridge.

When:  Wednesday, July 18th.  7-8 pm.

Attire:  Casual.  Please be ready for some outdoor walking.

Parking:  Available at the top of the driveway.

About the instructors:  Tate Bushell is the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s Land Steward/ Educator.  Tate has brought the wonders of nature to almost every age group through formal classes, workshops, wilderness hikes and extended camping trips.

Jennifer Simon is an experienced mindfulness mentor.  She has provided mindfulness training to a variety of demographics including at-risk youth, military personnel and parents.  She currently teaches meditation classes at Stamford’s Bartlett Arboretum.

PRLC is a private, non-profit corporation with the mission of preserving the semi-rural character of Pound ridge through the acquisition, conservation and stewardship of land in town. The Conservancy’s preserves are kept in their natural state for aesthetic, ecological and education purposes.
