Pound Ridge is home to dozens of beautiful tree species ranging from majestic white oak to scrubby water-loving alder. Join Tate Bushell, the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s staff Land Steward/ Educator, as he shares his intimate knowledge of Pound Ridge’s trees and their distribution across the landscape.  This casual hike is geared toward beginners and amateur botanists.  All are welcome. Free.
Where:  The PRLC’s Halle Ravine Preserve, on Trinity Pass, just south of Donbrook Road, Pound Ridge.
When: Â Saturday, July 21st. 10am-noon.
Attire: Â Casual. Â Please be ready for some outdoor walking.
Parking: Â Park on Trinity Pass, just south of Donbrook Road, next to the wooden, white gate.
About the Land Steward:  Tate Bushell is the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s new Land Steward/ Educator.  Tate has brought the wonders of nature to almost every age group through formal classes, workshops, wilderness hikes and extended camping trips. He is currently writing a conservation management plan for the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s Armstrong Preserve.
