Most people associate the coming of fall with the closing of their garden. In the Armstrong Gardens, fall is still a time of bustling activity. This is when we: use various forms of ‘row covers’ and ‘cold frames’ to increase air tempterature and extend the growing season, plant fall and winter cover crops, plant perennial herbs and plan for the spring. Join the PRLC’s Land Steward/Educator and garden designer/consultant, Sarah Bush, for
a hands-on fall gardening workshop, where you will see our busy garden in action. Participants can expect to learn practical stills and techniques which will be directly transferable to their own home gardens. Free.
