21st Annual Pound Ridge Arts & Crafts Show Saturday, October 1st & Sunday, October 2nd 2011
Scotts Corner, Pound Ridge, NY is once again the charming setting for the Annual Pound Ridge Arts & Crafts Show. This year’s family-friendly outdoor event will be on Saturday and Sunday, October 1 & 2, from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Popular artists and crafts people from past years will be returning with watercolors, oils, sculpture, photography, jewelry, glass, clothing, ceramics, metals, wood, and other media.
Returning this year will be
Virginia Peake. Virginia is an award winning, published Connecticut artist whose works are rich in color and filled with light. Her impressionistic style, coupled with contemporary realism, allows her to create a myriad of colors within her canvases. Her works hang in private collections throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Subjects include: Landscapes Waterscapes, Florals and Animals.
Also returning is Jean Andrew.
Jean has been exhibiting for several years throughout New England, New York and Florida. Some of her favorite shows are in Westport, CT, Wickford, RI Portland, ME, Sanibel Island and Naples, FL. Jean’s work is included in private and corporate collections across the U.U. and Europe. Actor Anthony Hopkins, former NBC President Bob Wright, Fleet Bank Pres. Terrence Murray, and former Boston Celtics owners Dana and Paul Gaston are among these collectors of Jean Andrew originals.
Artisans and patrons from throughout the region can plan to enjoy the hospitality that has made this show such a popular local event. Admission is free and ample parking is available. Pound Ridge is located in Westchester County, approximately 8 miles from Stamford, CT.
The Pound Ridge Arts & Crafts show provides an opportunity for a quiet autumn weekend in the country filled with beautiful art and delicious food. Cold drinks and barbeque will be available; in addition, to full restaurant service at local favorites, including Blind Charlie’s and DiNardo’s Ristorante Italiano.
This annual event is sponsored by the Pound Ridge Business Association. Proceeds will be used for the beautification of Scotts Corners.
