Go – and Glow – in the Dark

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES: at The Stamford Museum & Nature Center

Go (and Glow) in the Dark

Saturday, May 11, 7:30 – 8:30 pm

This all-new program will explore the many things that glow in the dark, from the stars featured in our Two Artists Look at the Sky exhibition to the animals that use bioluminescence in their daily lives. We’ll turn participants into fireflies and make our own spark in the dark. After our hike on the trails, we’ll return to the Overbrook Nature Center for a chance to paint our own glow-in-the-dark masterpieces under black light. Participants are asked to bring a flashlight. Recommended for ages 6 & up.
Members: $5 | Non-Members: $8.

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of art and popular culture, the natural and agricultural sciences, and history. The Museum is a vital cultural and educational resource for the community, and a focal point for family activity and interaction. We seek to inspire creativity, foster self-discovery, promote environmental stewardship, and nurture an appreciation for lifelong learning through exhibitions, educational programs, and special events that enhance the visitor’s experience of our unique site.
