Drumming is incredible! Many will attest to the fact that it is a healer of the body, mind and soul. We believe it is also a healer of this earth and the creatures that live here together. Cadence Carroll’s “Drumming with Wolves†workshop will be dedicated to learning the basics of African percussion. We will focus on how to hold the drum, create the 3 basic tones, and to play comfortably. We will focus on listening to the drummers around us, gaining confidence and experiencing the joy of African rhythms. Finally, we will learn one African rhythm and join Barbara Garriel in singing her original and inspirational song, “One Voiceâ€, in the spirit of protecting our precious wolves! After the 45 minute workshop, guests will visit Ambassador wolves Atka, Alawa and Zephyr, as well as, the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Don’t forget a camera!  Pre-registration is required. Space is limited! Register here
The Wolf Conservation Center teaches people about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future.
The Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), founded in 1999 by Hélène Grimaud, is a private, not-for-profit environmental education organization located in South Salem, NY. The WCC’s mission is to promote wolf conservation by teaching about wolves, their relationship to the environment, and the human role in protecting their future. The WCC accomplishes this mission through onsite and offsite education programs emphasizing wolf biology, the ecological benefits of wolves and other large predators, and the current status of wolf recovery in the United States.
