The New 2013 Summer Saturdays (formerly Second Saturdays) will take place in the Sculpture Garden for three evenings celebrating local music, local farmers and the Katonah Museum of Art’s summer exhibition of collage art.
Advance registration is suggested for each Summer Saturday event, $15 members, $20 non-members, 6:30 – 8:30 pm each evening.
June 15 – Celebrate Katonah Hosted by Katonah residents Joan Kantor and Pam and Steve Skilman, and back by popular demand, music by Katonah’s own Blonde Ambition!
July 13 – Farm to Museum with Bedford 2020
Buy locally-grown produce, fresh-cut flowers, farm eggs, delicious baked goods at this farm-to-museum party. Learn how to protect the community’s natural resources from co-host Bedford 2020. Featuring the lively music of Les Tappan Zigues, with complimentary Captain Lawrence beer and hors d’oeuvres. Local growers and purveyors include Stone Barns Center for Agriculture (Pocantico Hills), Kontoulis Family Olive Oil (Larchmont), Arattom Goat Cheese (Bedford Hills), Tiny Hearts Farm (North Salem), Magic Spoon Jams and Jellies (Dobbs Ferry), Rich Brownies (Briarcliff Manor), Wave Hill Breads (Norwalk, CT), and other local farmers.
August 3 – Mixing It Up Celebrate the collage exhibition Remix with music, artistry and a cocktail mixology demonstration and tasting. Join friends and neighbors to learn about the art cocktails from a pro, and taste a surprising collage of flavors layered together by Diageo mixologist Paul Torrens. Enjoy music by Milton, known for his witty, free-wheeling songs.
