Lunchtime Jazz at Lasdon

Bring a picnic lunch and listen to the sounds of cool jazz during the “Lunch at Lasdon” concert series at Westchester County’s largest publicly owned arboretum, Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial on Fridays, July 8, 15, 22 and 29, from noon to 2 p.m.

The Lunch at Lasdon jazz concert series highlights local musical talent from Westchester County and the surrounding area, including:

  • The Gerard Carelli Orchestra, a group of local jazz musicians from Bedford, performing on July 8 and 29.
  • The ABCs of Jazz, a Peekskill-based group that has become a crowd favorite at Lasdon, proving that Westchester’s local talent can swing with the best of them on July 15.
  • The Kevin Callaghan Group will take the stage on July 22. The group’s musicians hail from Westchester and Putnam counties and Connecticut.

Parking is free.  Admission is $5 per person to benefit programs at the arboretum. Limited table seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis; blankets or lawn chairs for seating on the lawn are welcome. Light refreshments will be available for purchase.

While at Lasdon, be sure to browse the selection of gardening-related, gifts and plant items in the Garden Shop.

Lunch at Lasdon is sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the Friends of Lasdon Park & Arboretum, Inc. In case of inclement weather, Lunch at Lasdon will be cancelled.

Lasdon Park and Arboretum, a 234-acre park and developing arboretum featuring many species of trees, shrubs and perennials, is a Westchester County Park. It is located on Route 35 in Somers.
