In small age-specific classes, the Rhodes Piano Method is used to nurture excitement and understanding of music through rapid accomplishment and satisfaction. Traditional teaching methods are combined with improvisation so students learn quickly and intuitively. Just as a young child learns to talk “by ear†and is later introduced to the written language, a Rhodes piano student first learns “by ear†and quickly becomes accustomed to musical language relative to its position on the keyboard. Note reading is introduced when kids are already comfortable at the keyboard and eager to keep moving forward in their playing. After 10 sessions, beginners are well on their way to reading music and playing with both hands. A keyboard is provided for each child. Rhodes Piano Method books and easy-to-use visual tools are included in class fee. Classes are led by Zev Haber, a certified Rhodes Piano Method instructor.
